I’m always looking for new species of fish and marine life, and I enjoy the simplicity of exploring the ocean directly from the shore. Most online descriptions are messy, incomplete, or focused on boat tours because that’s where the money is. Go to Playa Lindomar!
Two ways to get there:1 — From the beaches in Zona Romántica
You can reach this beach by walking from the nearby beaches (Playa Los Muertos, Playa Amapas, Playa Conchas Chinas) and following the rocks along the shoreline — about a 20‑minute walk. The path between the beaches is fairly easy as long as you have flip‑flops or snorkeling shoes (see the dotted line in the picture below).
2 — From the main road above Playa Lindomar
You can also access Playa Lindomar from the main road on the hill by going through the Lindo Mar Resort. Park next to the hotel, go down to the first level and use the restaurant stairs to reach the beach (see the road highlighted in yellow in the picture below).Once you are at the Lindomar Beach, enter the water between the rocks and swim along the rocks!!

Best Time To Go & Things To Remember
- In the morning as soon as the sun rays hit the water
- Avoid days with strong waves
- Bring a rash guard — the sun gets strong quickly
- Wear water shoes since the sand is very rocky
